ALASKA: My Photos/Notes/Postcards/Little Known Facts


Traveled via Alaska Tour & Travel Network for arrangements of most of this trip. Booked my Airline via Yahoo Travel Travelocity. Reserved some of my day tours via the Local Agencies in Alaska hosting the tour. Made Hotel arrangements with the Hotels directly. Like Chena Hot Springs Resort in Fairbanks,AK(stayed here for about 4-5dys)after staying for 5 days at a nice well kept Days Inn in Anchorage. In between Anchorage and Fairbanks I took the Alaska Railroad to Denal National Park(stayed at the Beautiful Princess Lodge Hotel) Then cont'd on the Alaskan Railroad to Fairbanks and Chena Hot Springs. Stayed for one day in Fairbanks downtown and took the River boat Tour(will get the link) and Stayed at the Westin Hotel(?)(will double check for proper name). ENJOY!! My entire trip came out to be less than about $1400 including all meals, but not including persoanl purchases :-).

Not to mention it is a cool desert, though it has a rainforest in one southernmost city near Valdez(?), and the short Summer temperatures range in the 80's to high 90's...and Yes their Winter Season can be in the (-)30's to (-)60+...temp range. Heavy Coats and Boots and Layers...Required! :-)
